Should I Think About Leasing a Car

Carl asks: Should I Think About Leasing a Car

Is it time now to buy a new car? Perhaps it is just time to acquire a new car. You do not have to actually buy one. The option of leasing a vehicle is always a possibility. Not everyone chooses to lease because, honestly, they do not understand the benefits associated with a leased vehicle. For some, based on their circumstances, a leased vehicle is the better strategy.

Let’s say someone is moving to another state far, far away from where he/she normally lives and only intends to stay in that state temporarily for one year. Is it worth it to ship a car back and forth across country for $1500 each way or would leasing be a better plan? Once you look at things from this perspective, the hidden value of leasing becomes more apparent.

Granted, not everyone is going to move across the country so those circumstances may be a little rare. However, many people may be thinking about buying a truly tremendous brand new car that might not come out for another year or two. Leasing until the most preferable model to purchase hits the market is an idea worth exploring.

Maybe you just want to drive in style and own a brand new car each year. Buying a new car every year is extremely difficult. Leasing is not. Once a year-long lease expires, you merely look to initiate a new lease with a newer model. You never have to deal with yesterday’s look or comforts if you go this route.

Safety is another thing to consider. A brand new leased car is not going to have a lot of operational problems that come with wear and tear. Since you are only going to use the car for one year, wear and tear becomes a very minimal issue.

Keep all these things in mind when thinking about leasing a car from Landers McLarty Dodge Ram Chrysler or Jeep.
